Matching kids with carers
WORKING parents are looking to the internet for child care.
Internet service Kidzcare was set up 15 months ago and is solving child-care needs for many parents, who are also saving money by taking part.
The reciprocal arrangement can have parents who work a couple of days a week minding children of parents who work on other days than them.
Website founder Leonie Han says parents register their location and working hours and the website matches them with other parents nearby who want to share the care of children.
``Kidzcare is an introduction site, allowing parents to swap days for child care, meet, interview and select their own child minders,'' she said.
``We are not involved in any employment arrangements and do not make any recommendations. It is up to the parent or guardian to follow through with the details.''
